You installed Claude for iOS or Android but cannot see Cowork, voice mode, or the latest connectors—or your phone’s chat list does not match claude.ai? Anthropic Help says to update the official Claude by Anthropic app from the App Store or Google Play and sign in with the same email you use on the web.

What Claude mobile officially includes

“Get started with Claude” (support.claude.com/en/articles/8114491) lists claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Claude for iOS / Android. On mobile, the active model appears at the top of the screen; tap it to switch models.

Update from the App Store or Google Play

   “How to update Claude for iOS” (answer/11825384): App Store → account button → scroll to pending updates → tap Update next to Claude for iOS.

   “How to update Claude for Android” (answer/11825394): Play Store → profile → Manage apps & device → See details under Updates available → Update next to Claude for Android.

   Verify features after updating

   Release notes (answer/12138966) and iOS/Android connector articles say interactive connectors, Cowork, Health, location, and calendar access depend on the latest mobile build. If Claude does not offer an app action, Help suggests updating and restarting the app (answer/11869619 · answer/11869629).

   First-time install

   iOS: App Store listing for “Claude by Anthropic” (answer/9266462). Android: Play Store install (answer/9612887). Missing listings may mean an unsupported region, device, or OS version.

Sign in on mobile (same account as claude.ai)

   Pick a sign-in method

   “Log in to your Claude account” (answer/13189465): On claude.ai, Desktop, or Mobile you may see Continue with Google, Continue with Apple, or Continue with email. Subscription plans (Free, Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise) cover ordinary use in Anthropic’s web, desktop, and mobile apps.

   Same email on every device

   To use one Claude account everywhere, enter the same email on Claude Mobile that you use on your usual device—for example, the email from your claude.ai signup (answer/13189465).

   Apple Hide My Email

   If you signed up with Hide My Email, use your @privaterelay.appleid.com address, choose Continue with email on Mobile, and open the “Sign in with Claude.ai” link sent to your Apple ID email (answer/13189465). On iOS, initials → Settings shows the email.

   Magic link vs verification code

   If you request a login email on one device but open the link on another, you may get a verification code to enter on the device that originally requested sign-in (answer/13189465).

Sync with claude.ai: chats, Projects, Cowork

   Confirm one account

   Matching chat history on phone and claude.ai requires the same Claude account. On iOS, check initials → Settings for the email and compare with your claude.ai account settings (answer/13189465).

   Manage conversations on web or mobile

   “Delete or rename a conversation” (answer/8230524): Rename or delete from claude.ai’s sidebar or Claude mobile; deletions purge from backend systems within about 30 days. On the web, use “Chats and tasks” for full history.

   Memory and search need the latest app

   “Use Claude’s chat search and memory” (answer/11817273): Paid plans can search past chats on web, Desktop, and Mobile; memory defaults on for Free/Pro/Max with latest mobile app for Mobile. Team/Enterprise memory is off by default unless an owner enables it.

   Cowork vs local-only data

   answer/15520349: Cloud Cowork sessions and files live in your Claude account across devices. Some Cowork projects created from a folder on one computer may stay on that computer only (answer/14116274)—unlike standard claude.ai Projects (answer/9519177).
