How Perplexity works (official framing)

Help text says Perplexity combines live web retrieval with AI models and returns answers with source links. Pro Search goes further across articles, papers, forums, and more, then synthesizes with citations. Free users get a limited number of Pro Searches per day; Perplexity Pro subscribers get extended Pro Search access.
