Google published Gemini 3.7 Flash on 13 August 2026. The company calls it the most capable Flash workhorse so far, aimed at coding and agents rather than another chat demo.

Tulsee Doshi, speaking for the Gemini team, says 3.7 arrived three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash, driven by developer feedback and algorithm changes. The focus is software engineering, knowledge work, and web development.
On document-heavy work, Google reports GDP.pdf moving from 22.0% to 34.0%, and AutomationBench from 17.0% to 30.4%. Those are Google’s own comparisons, not a third-party re-run.
