OpenAI Help Center article What is ChatGPT Pro? describes ChatGPT Pro as a paid tier above Plus with higher usage across ChatGPT features and access to the most capable models available to consumer plans. The chatgpt.com/plans/pro page lists two Pro prices—typically $100/month and $200/month—and states both tiers include the same core capabilities; the main difference is usage allowance (about 5× and 20× Plus, per the pricing page).

Help article GPT-5.6 and GPT-6 Pro in ChatGPT (20001354) says GPT-6 Pro (powered by GPT-6 Astra) is available in Chat for Pro $100, Pro $200, Business, and Enterprise. It also notes Plus includes GPT-6 Astra in ChatGPT Work and Codex, with usage and credit rules separate from Chat—not the same as GPT-6 Pro inside Chat.

01

Pro $100 model caps

Article 20001354 lists 50 messages per week for GPT-6 Pro in Chat on Pro $100, as one shared allowance across GPT-6 Pro and GPT-5.6 Sol Pro. Switching models does not add messages once that weekly pool is used.

02

Pro $200 model caps

On Pro $200, Help lists 200 GPT-6 Pro messages per week, plus a separate 170 messages per day for GPT-5.6 Sol Pro, with 200 messages per day combined across both models. When the weekly GPT-6 Pro cap is reached, ChatGPT may switch you to GPT-5.6 Thinking at Medium until resets apply.

03

Hitting a cap

Help text says reaching a Pro-model limit does not change your subscription—you can pick another available model or wait; ChatGPT shows reset timing when available.

04

Model picker is authoritative

Rollouts change model names and caps. Use your account model menu and in-product limit messages alongside Help and chatgpt.com/plans pages.
